Ellie's Swim from Alcatraz with Odyssey Open Water Swimming

Each year, Odyssey guides hundreds of swimmers from just outside of Alcatraz Island to San Francisco. The 2+ mile swim is a legendary swim that is feared and beloved, making it a destination swim for athletes, swimmers, and others, who come from around the world to try it.

Odyssey Open Water Swimming recently guided Ellie (EllieMarieTV on YouTube) as she “escaped” Alcatraz Prison. The swim was full of challenges, including a container ship that added waves to her crossing.

Ellie and her team were onboard to capture highlights from her swim, and an incredible highlight video was created and published to show her progression from considering the swim to successfully completing it. Thank you for joining us Ellie, and congratulations!
