The Community Answers “If You Had to Be a Fish, What Fish Would You Be, and Why?”

Fish Ask the Community

Swimming in the open water brings us closer to wildlife, literally. In a recent Ask the Community post, we asked the open water swimming community what fish they would be and why. Here are the responses we received on Facebook and Instagram.

What Fish Would You Be

Facebook

  • “Dolphin, so I could play in the surf and act like ‘Flipper.’” - Gary W.

  • “I’ll be a shark and only hang out with swimmers as friends but won’t eat them.” - Pak H.

  • “A pufferfish. They have an interesting way to handle stress. I’m sure other fish think twice before messing with them.” - Bianca B.

  • “I swim like an eagle ray but I could choose dolphin. Social & playful.” - Suzanne C.

  • “Manta ray, graceful and elegant whilst swimming, definitely not like me .” - Amanda C.

  • “Uhu 'ele'ele, also known as the greenblotch parrotfish. They live in Maui, eat coral, and poop sand!” - K-Anne C.

Instagram

  • “🐳” - @melyde12

  • “Great white shark or a whale. To not get eaten. :)” - @walzmusic
