Weekly Berkeley Swim Updates for the Remainder of 2023

As we near the end of the 2023 Odyssey Open Water Season and prepare to release next year’s schedule, we have a three quick updates and reminders to share in regards to Berkeley swims.

1. Personal Swim Buoys are Required

Implemented earlier this year, one of our newest safety measures is to require personal swim buoys at Berkeley swims. These buoys can be purchased at nearly any sports retailer and online, and range from $10-70 depending on quality and features. You can also use an Odyssey Blue Seventy buoy, which can be purchased here online or at a Berkeley swim.

2. Tuesday Berkeley Swims are Now at 5:30 PM

To prevent swimming in darkness, Tuesday Berkeley swims throughout October are now at 5:30 PM instead of 6:00 PM. This is the last month of the season for Tuesday swims, so please come out for some mid-week fun!

3. Sunday Swims Start at 10 AM Beginning in November

Beginning in November, Berkeley swims move to 10 AM. You can enter any time between 10-10:30, and must exit by 11:30 AM.
