See A Red Cap? Welcome Them to Odyssey!

One of many new safety efforts is now live at Odyssey Open Water Swimming. Swimmers, whether novice or world-class athletes, will wear a red Odyssey Open Water Swimming swim cap during their very first Odyssey Berkeley swim. When you see someone wearing a red cap, help us welcome them to the Odyssey community.

Why Red Caps?

Red caps stick out among the sea of yellow Odyssey swim caps many of our swimmers wear. They provide additional visibility and let our coaches and support staff know this is their first time on our Berkeley course.

If You’re Wearing the Red Cap

Red caps will be provided to first-time Odyssey swimmers at check-in, and turned in at the end of your Berkeley swim. While wearing the red cap, our coaches and paddlers may check in with you occasionally to ensure you’re having the best possible experience.
