September 17 Odyssey Alcatraz Recap and Pics!
Around 99 swimmers joined the Odyssey team for an incredible Odyssey Alcatraz swim on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Over 400 pictures and video clips were taken by the Odyssey team and a photographer on hand to capture the action.
Captain Taylor described the conditions as “crazy windy.,” but that didn’t stop our swimmers. Taylor continued to say that “the direction of the wind meant it had no time to build wave heights.”
“It blew and rained, it huffed and puffed, as little squalls blew threw the course.”
Our safety team was more than prepared with a variety of vessels, boards, and kayaks to provide swim support to our athletes.
