June is one of the busiest months for Odyssey Open Water Swimming. We recently sent out a newsletter to keep you up to date with everything that’s going on.
Free Strength Training @ IBX
Looking to diversify your training? Build strength and endurance for your open water swims in a free workshop with IBX Fitness in Albany! IBX is putting on a FREE 45-minute resistance training workshop exclusively for Odyssey swimmers!
Led by Coach Ian, who swam competitively for 10 years
Learn how to integrate dryland resistance training to strengthen swimming muscles
Cover basic program design for you to integrate this training on your own, followed by a short workout where we bring it all together!
Bring water and a training buddy
Proof of vaccination is required

Wanted: Kayakers, Coaches, and Volunteers
We're expanding our staff of coaches and kayakers. We're open to those who come regularly or just fill in when our usual crew is unavailable. Some experience is required but some training is available.
We're also looking for volunteers to help at events with tasks like checking swimmers in, handing out shirts, and greeting the swimmers at the finish. Respond to this email if you want to get involved.
Weekly Berkeley Swim Schedule
Tuesday evening swims continue at 6:30 until they switch to 6 in September and to 5:30 in October, the last month of Tuesday swims.
