Odyssey Approved to Continue Hosting Swims Under Distancing Guidelines and Mask Mandate
Odyssey Open Water Swimming has been proud to host safe swims during the pandemic under the direction of local guidelines and with the approval of government agencies. Odyssey has implemented a list of guidelines (read here) and new policies that have helped protect swimmers, staff, and the community.
Recently, the Bay Area has implemented stricter safety regulations, and we received approval to continue hosting swims under several conditions that we have been working to implement and enforce. The conditions include:
All swimmers must wear masks when out of the water.
All swimmers must remain six-feet apart from each other.
All swimmers must continue to register online-only, and will have no direct contact with Odyssey staff.
Thank you to all swimmers who have been working hard to adapt and follow our guidelines, and thank you to the local government and agencies who have been working hard to protect the community while allowing people to have safe outlets, like open water swimming.
