9/21 Alcatraz Swim is Our Biggest Yet! Our Record-Breaking Summer Continues, Registration Still Open!

From the entire Odyssey Open Water Swimming team, we would like to say thank you for an absolutely incredible summer! Our community continues to grow and we continue to break records for our swims.

Three times this summer, we’ve had our largest ever group join us for our Sunday Berkeley swim (63, 65, and then 73 swimmers!). Just two weeks away from our final public Odyssey Alcatraz swim of the year, we will also be breaking our record for the largest Alcatraz swim we have hosted to date. We have already received over 125 registrations for this swim. However, if you haven’t yet registered for the swim there’s still time and space!

As our swims continue to grow, so does our team. We’re hiring added support staff and new coaches to accommodate. For the September 21 Alcatraz swim, we will also have emergency medical staff on-hand and more than enough kayakers to help any swimmers who need a break or to be pulled from the water.
