We’re Recruiting: Odyssey Open Water Swimming

Odyssey Open Water Swimming is a locally owned small business that turns swimming in the East Bay into exciting, safe, and fun adventures. Over the past five years, we’ve organized over 500 swims, and we’re growing.

As we add events and gain more interest in each of our swims, our team is growing as well. We welcome you to explore opportunities to join the Odyssey Open Water Swimming staff. Here are opportunities we currently have available.

Kayak for Upcoming Odyssey Open Water Events

Kayakers and/or paddleboarders are needed at every swim. At most weekly swims, only 1-2 kayakers are needed. For large swims, including our 6-mile Bridge to Bridge swim, each swimmer needs their own kayaker, and our need for kayakers is much greater. If you love being out on the water and want to join a fun company that enjoys and respects the outdoors, we welcome you to reach out to us here.

Experience kayaking or paddleboarding is required. Emergency safety training recommended.

Lead Odyssey Open Water Swims

Are you a natural leader and a confident swimmer? We are looking for a couple of swim leaders who can fill in for current swim leaders when needed and add support during larger swims. You will be responsible for setting up our swim board, informing swimmers of the route, and providing support. Learn more and apply here.

Experience kayaking or paddleboarding is required, emergency safety training is recommended, and prior experience teaching or coaching is highly desired but not required.
